There are a lot of ways to learn about SEO. There are a few SEO courses that I believe would be worth the money and the time if you are wanting to learn more about SEO. These are courses that I have taken myself at different stages in my business. I recommend them because I believe they have helped me learn SEO and take my skills to the next level.
SEO Course #1: The Showit SEO Course by Davey & Krista
This was the very first course I ever purchased. I was ready to get to know the “basics” of SEO from the professionals. I knew of Davey & Krista from the Showit world, and knew they created Showit templates that were very popular. I felt as though they were a trusted source, and the price for the cost seemed reasonable (especially because I was just starting out in business).
What I loved about the course
It gave me the basics of SEO as far as what certain terms meant. Davey went through lots of different SEO tools, free and paid, to explain the different features of them and how they could be used for SEO research. There was a TON of information about content as well. They also went through each page as far as titles, meta descriptions, and the different structures of each page. I also LOVED that they had monthly SEO Q&A (you will have to check if they still do this!).
What sets the course apart from others
I think they are the most thorough in regards to content. How to choose the keyword, how to start with content and build on it. Also what it means to create content from start to finish.
What I didn’t really like
I learned the basics, which is why I purchased the course, but since I was such a beginner I felt a little lost when they were talking about content. I will say after I have become more advanced, I do return to the course to re-watch some of the content related modules that I originally felt lost with. Since they are photographers, all of the examples for keyword research were wedding photography-related. If you are not a wedding photographer and you are learning SEO for a different type of business, you have to figure out if you will be able to use their wedding photography examples and translate it to your own business.
Overall thoughts
I think if you are wanting to learn the basics of SEO, this is a great course. You can learn the basics to improve your website pages and the tools that you can use too.

SEO Course #2: Wedding SEO Bootcamp by Sara Does SEO
This course is 100% focused on the wedding industry – wedding venues, wedding photographers, florists. The focus of this course is finding the best keyword for your pages and then how to blog by using keywords.
What I loved about the course
Honestly…everything. I am a super fan of Sara, so I might be a little bias but the way she teaches is so clear and precise. She gives you ALL the tools on how to research the keywords, and lays everything out as far as blog posts. You will come back to this course over and over again for ideas on how to blog. She goes beyond the “what is SEO” and gives you the tools to actually be successful.
What sets the course apart from others
The information on how to blog. She gives guidelines on different types of blogs you can use for your business and it is so helpful. Also, the biggest game changer is her Wedding SEO Bootcamp that comes with live coaching from her. This is KEY and it only happens once a year, usually in January. So if this is on your radar, you have to plan for this in January.
What I didn’t really like
The one thing that is missing for me is the community after the bootcamp. You can ask questions live to Sara if you sign up during that January bootcamp, but I really miss the ability to go to a group somewhere and ask questions that come up when I’m actually doing the SEO. That’s why I 100% suggest signing up for the course during the bootcamp so you have that opportunity!
Overall thoughts
It’s 1 million percent worth the price to get Sara Does SEO Wedding Bootcamp. Especially if blogging is going to be your focus within the next year. You will see the return on your investment if you are using her guidance.

Why She is Worth Learning From: Sara is a website designer turned SEO pro. She has helped SO many business owners at all different levels. She provides a ton of free resources, but her paid resources just take all of that knowledge above and beyond. The way she teaches it so clear without any tech jargon.
What’s Included: 52 SEO training videos, keyword research workbook, page optimization checklist, setup video for Google Search Console, lots of checklists and guides to help support you as well. If you join during the live coaching in January, you will get a live 4-module training plan with live support from Sara.
Course Cost: Full SEO Program + Coaching is $697 in full, or payment plans available for $127/month for a six month payment plan. There is also an option for just the course which is $497.
But pick the coaching one…it’s worth it.
